We LOVE our better than tin ceiling - easily installed and absolutely gorgeous.  It's a beautiful accent, and we couldn't be happier.

Here's some pictures from a couple installs.  I installed the tiles using ceiling-link.  They came out great and appear to be real wood once in place.  I also used the tiles on the underneath of the my soffits, using casing for the face trim.

I have attached 6 photos of where the “Better Than Tin” ceiling tiles were used.
We are a manufacturer of trade show booths. This booth incorporated a small room that would simulate a speakeasy type of atmosphere. Your ceiling tiles and matching tape were just what I was looking for to achieve the effect.

My project turned out great. The tiles are very easy to work with. When people walk down into my basement they immediately comment on how great and unique the ceiling looks. I would definitely use this product again if I had a reason to.

I have received many GREAT comments about my new ceiling. Everybody wants to know where I got it from. I of course tell them about your web site, so hopefully you will see an increase in sales in my area. I love my new ceiling tiles along with my new bathroom. I went for the best public restroom in Genesee county. From what all my customers tell me, I have acheived just that, THE BEST PUBLIC RESTROOM IN GENESEE COUNTY! The installation went fine as a DIY project, considering the very large area. The installation of the grid system was the biggest challenge and could not have been done without a laser level device.  We are well pleased with the ceiling as it looks very rich and different from the typical spongy look of traditional ceiling tile.  Thanks for a good product.  Attached are pictures of the finished ceiling.

Sorry it has taken me so long to write back, but it has taken us longer than expected to upgrade out basement.  I am forwarding you four pictures that I took this morning of the section of the basement where we needed the tiled ceiling.  First, the Ceilume tile has COMPLETELY transformed the look of the basement.  Everyone compliments the ceiling and when they touch it, they can't believe it's not wood!  Half of our basement has low duct work where we do not have an option other than a drop ceiling. We LOVE the tiles and they were so super easy to install!

We recently renovated our basement into a gathering room.  We needed a drop-ceiling in 1/2 of the room because of all the duct work & water pipes.  I really didn't want to go with the old, boring, chalky tiles, so I happened upon your website and decided to give your Stratford tiles a try.  I'm so glad I did !!  I love them !!  And the price was right too.  Our contractor said they were very easy to work with.  Everyone that has seen them loves them too.  It really gives the room a polished look.  I've attached a couple of photos of our "beach" room.  I give them 5 stars !!

It is great hearing from you and the Ceilume team.  In relation to the installation of our Ceilume tiles...where do I begin.  Your service since the moment we came across your company has been tremendous.  We started this process with samples being mailed out to our home.  After getting over the initial reaction of how light, simple and easy this product was we were convinced that the price was right to move forward.  Within about 10 days our entire shipment arrived.  I was able to enjoy time with my 5 young boys ( all under 12) installing the tiles in the grid as well as cutting out the can light holes.  This may have been one of the quickest, cleanest and easiest do-it-yourself jobs I have ever completed.  We were even able to frame in our retracting projector screen and projector for the home theatre.

Here are the before and after pictures.  We replaced our old flourescent fixtures with LED ceiling panels.  We removed wall scounces in favor of small LED spots in the ceiling.  We added ceiling speakers.  We used our original drop ceiling grill, but painted it with a small trim roller.  We removed the old brittle tiles and replaced them with an inexpensive flat tile above the Ceilume tiles.  The room looks great and everyone comments on the beautiful ceiling (almost as much as they comment about the new Smart TV).

Ceilume, I am so happy to have found your ceiling products. They were so easy to order and install. My kitchen was transformed in a few hours. I am very impressed with the service I received and how affordable. I am so happy and telling everyone about this company. I will be placing another order in the near future for a rental unit I have that needs some tlc. I have enclosed the after pictures.  Thank You!

 The ceiling is already generating a steady stream of compliments from all who have seen it. It is hard to get a photo that captures the effect created by the long barrel vault “tin” ceiling with its ceiling fans towards each end and the chandelier in the center.  I recommend your product without reservation. My brother is a restaurant designer for a major national chain and based on what he saw in our store, they are looking into using your product instead of the tin they have been using.

We LOVE our new ceiling! We have received so many compliments from guests. They all think it is real tin. The best part is that no one can tell that it is a drop ceiling because the decorate strips camouflage the usually obvious metal grid. The grid just magically disappears. The product quality is outstanding and was very easy to work with.  The customer service department at Better  Than Tin is fabulous. We called a few times with questions and they were incredibly helpful and pleasant. They also followed up with us after the installation to see how everything went. That gesture is the definition of excellent customer service!

Appreciate the followup and I'm pleased to report that the installation of the Better Than Tin ceilings was very straightforward and the end product looks GREAT!!! At first look, the new Better Than Tin ceiling is almost too nice to be in a bedroom, it looks that good. A great product, easy to install (we did all the work ourselves), and we like how it compliments the other Victorian features around the house.    Definitely worth the price.  Again, the before and after is like night and day - - - and it now sets that area in the hallway off as a "room" of its own. The "nail-up" installation was just as straightforward as the drop ceiling, no problems at all. Ordering and delivery were flawless, great job. Needless to say we are very pleased with the Better Than Tin ceilings. They've helped take our "new Victorian" up another notch - - - and we are now considering them for a couple additional rooms. 

The tiles were easy to install as advertised.  They were sprayed (HVLP gun) with Maison Beige latex paint by Sherwin Williams to match our kitchen wallpaper. (tile took the paint excellently).

My basement project is completed.  What started as a man cave turned into a very nice entertainment area.  The ceiling panels added a very nice element to both the TV room and workout area.

Customer support was excellent.  The sample tiles were critical in going with Ceilume. 

This is the second project I have done in my home with your ceiling tiles.  My home was built in 1980 and had the traditional 4'x8' recessed light well in the kitchen with the four plastic panels mounted flush with the ceiling.  Too much HGTV for my wife and she wanted something done to change it.  I wasn't interested in a major kitchen remodel so I made my own plan for a change. 
 
I removed all the wood trim holding up the plastic panels and removed the fluorescent light fixtures.  A sheet of masonite to cover the ceiling of the well, 2 new light fixtures and on went your tiles.  Matching beadboard on the sides of the well, new trim and walla, it was done in 2 days and we think it looks great!

Tiles worked beautifully and transformed a dismal, ordinary room. We chose to create a coffered ceiling that is really amazing. Following up with another email to tell you how pleased I am with the way the ceilume tiles worked for me.  The tiles truly appear to be as if they were cast plaster (the effect I had hoped for) and they serve to lighten up a dark room nicely.  The coffering was a challenge with each area needing to be adapted to the vagaries of a ceiling created in the 19th century, but it was certainly worth all the measuring, leveling, and finagling we needed to do. I'll be delighted to send photographs when I have returned home.

Love the ceiling, it upgraded the entire look of the room. It was extremely easy to install and even to cut with scissors.  Had a party last week and all of my friends could not get over how "rich" the ceiling looked.  They loved the fact that I just popped them in.  Have recommended them to a friend at work. The best part is they are flexible... my drop ceiling is only about 2 1/2 inches from the original ceiling and I could not use a regular Armstrong-type panel, because they are hard, do not flex, and there is not enough room to angle the panel to get it into the grid/square. I tried and hated them....they were plain and ugly and the ends chipped off while trying to get them into the ceiling grid (I think they were made of compressed paper) .  Also would have had to dispose of the old tiles... lots of trash in a landfill (and lots of extra work) - love the eco-friendliness of that!! It did not take long at all to install and I did it myself.  The room is approximately 13 1/2 x 24.  It is the best possible product I could have used (without paying someone $3000 to drywall the ceiling) and I did my homework on the internet!

We are incredibly pleased with our recent order.  We get a ton of compliments from our guests. 

You may laugh at how I constructed it and I should tell you it works perfectly.   I attached the ceiling with Velcro.  I glued one strip on the ceiling which is a metal overhang and then the opposite strip on the tile. Waited until all was dry and then popped them up.   I did that because if I ever get a water problem above I can always take the tile off and fix it. As you can see the room is a small DIY addition and leads onto a deck. The first picture was of the ceiling before it was tiled and it looks lush because the photo is a summer shot.  The other three is as it is now in the winter.So thank you for asking and I am recommending this product to whoever asks me and will not hesitate to use it again.

We finished the bathroom; it's a 50's style 4'x 8' pink/black themed.  We ended up painting the tiles white, removing the wallpaper and installing a new ceiling exhaust fan.  These tiles have stood up under really humid conditions and they are so easy to paint.  We love them and would definitely use Ceilume tiles again for any future projects.

The ceiling is great, easy installation. We renovated our entire bar area at the restaurant, I spent tons of money on a new bar BUT all people really notice is the new ceiling. It looks great thanks.

Love the tiles... they were the finishing touch to our new home theater.

The installation of the ceiling went well. Utilized a total of 238 tiles, took about a 30 hr. total work effort between my wife and I to complete. Overall very satisfied and the ceiling looks great.

Project was great I have attached pictures! The project was a complete renovation of a building built around 1887 and we completely restored it inside and out. We were not able to salvage a lot of the original tin ceilings that were still in the building so we used your product and love the results.  The building is now an office building and can be viewed by the general public.

We made two orders of this tile - used one in our newly designed lower entrance hallway of the hotel (see attached picture) and the other in one of our meeting rooms.  The hotel is a 101 year old resort property so style was very important to us.  Your product fit the bill very well and we have received numerous compliments since the installation.

We get so many compliments on the ceiling tiles, and we're so happy with them.  They were a breeze to install, keep clean, and they look fantastic. Thanks for offering such a great product at a reasonable price!

The installed ceiling is awesome! I painted the tiles first before installation and had egg and dart molding nailed around the perimeter and over seams.

Everyone was really impressed with ceiling.  We ended up doing some precision soffit framing to avoid cutting the tiles.

We installed the first ceiling (we're doing 3 all together) and it went very well.  We adapted some installation techniques - put 5 squares of double stick foam tape on the back side of the tiles (center spot and then out about 4" in a box configuration) before putting on ceiling.  This kept the tile in place prior to stapling but also kept the centers from "sagging".  We spray painted the tiles prior to installation and then painted the strips on site.  We're quite pleased with the results - see attached photos.  Thanks for a great product.

We replaced the ceiling in our 40-foot motorhome. We had problems with some sagging and discolored areas and, when we pulled down the old ceiling covering, we found some areas of mold that we replaced. We also replaced the fluorescent lighting with smaller lights. It came out wonderful. We are very pleased with the outcome. I've attached a photo of the finished ceiling.

Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond.  I really like your product, ease of use and final results. My house was built in 1952 and looks like it.  The first project I purchased from you was for a small bathroom (I'll attach a photo)  Sorry now that I didn't take a "before" photo.

We installed the Jackson tile, finishing with your Evangeline border tile (which cut much nicer with a backwards 200 tooth plywood blade on a table saw).

The installation went great!

The ceiling tiles were easy to work with and I used a Dremel Tool to cut the tiles using a 1-1/2 Diamond Wheel. This also worked great for cutting openings in Ceramic Tile.

The ceiling tile grid system I used was HumiGRID which was purchased from Lowe's Home Center which works great with your product for high humidity areas. We plan on using your ceiling tiles for our basement remodel.  Great Product!

Our installation is a little unique, stapled/glued directly to the ceiling, cut exactly to the walls and then caulked at the wall. We also painted all of the background surface and left the raised in white.

Where the tiles meet, I routed a strip of wood to match the raised design on the tiles. I'll also be putting your tiles in my living area.

We really like the tiles and they made our new bathroom complete. 

We recently installed one of your ceilings in a client's family room and the results are spectacular!

The tiles were copper leafed rather than painted, which makes a huge difference in the amount of glamor... See the results!

We remodeled the Adler Building, which was built in 1893 in Historic Downtown
Guthrie, OK. Guthrie was the first capital of Oklahoma and is on the National Historic Trust registry as the largest contiguously restored Victorian city in the United States. The building had gone through many remodels, but none of them had restored it historically. Air conditioning had been added and a drop ceiling had been installed.  The Ceilume Ceiling Tiles were just the answer to restore the historic look with minor modifications. Everyone that walks in the building comments on the wonderful "tin" ceiling.
We have inspired more of the historic building owners to consider installing the Ceilume tiles.

Thanks for your follow-up.  It's refreshing to experience good customer service (I was thinking that it was a thing of the past). Anyway, we purchased a 30+ year old camper and refurbished it.  We used your ceiling tiles over the bunk area, as the original ceiling was torn and hanging down. I have attached a couple of pix to show you how nice it looks now.

We built a home on the Mississippi River and see barges, Delta Queen, Mississippi Queen and other river traffic.  It seemed appropriate to use turn of the century décor for the location, so used the Medallion tile edged with Stratford.  I had too many Medallion and not enough Stratford to do the job. You exchanged the tiles with no questions asked.  We appreciated working with you. We found the price equivalent to inexpensive big box store low-end tiles, but Ceilume tiles looked like tiles twice the price at the big box stores.

Aunt Emma's is a down home cooked meal, old fashioned Midwest type place. They have blackboards with the menu on them.

It turned out great, very happy with the overall effect and cost for the job. You were also very speedy with delivery, which I appreciated.

Our club room was completed on June 5, 2006, and the ceiling looks awesome.  The ceiling tiles are easy to install, and the price was great. Thanks for the check up.  I've included a couple pictures.
